This morning i got up at 7:20. Here's my food and drink intake:
7:25 am - hemp protein shake
12:50 pm - ground beef mixed with salsa and taco seasoning. parmesan cheese and hot sauce. (forgot the vitamins)
7:15 pm - flat iron steak with chipotle bbq and hot sauce, cherry tomatoes with s&p. multivitamin and fish oil.
7:30 pm - 5T peanut butter (dessert)
Before bed - ZMA
I drank:
Water: 96 oz
Coffee: 32 oz
Displaying this food journal publicly has kept me more honest than if i was just been keeping notes privately. I focus more on my meals. For instance, i was all set to eat a plate of meat for dinner. That's it. I know i should eat veggies and since i'm taking photos and blogging about it, i decided to cut up the damn cherry tomatoes. Thanks for keeping me in line!
I'm saving money so i can buy new clothes once i get rid of all this fat. Adds a nice little incentive for myself..

Food Journal - Day 9
I woke at 7:10 am. Here's what i ate:
7:25 am - 1 serving hemp protein in water
1:35 pm - leftover salmon, multivitamin
4:00 pm - apple
7:30 pm - flat iron steak, squash and zucchini

I ate the meal between lunch and dinner! Except that's only because i left the apple on the table when i left the house today and therefore didn't have a snack in the morning...
Realization that i'm not even half way set in today. Ugh! BUT...i'm starting to notice positive changes so that's more than enough motivation to keep going. Looking forward to Saturday Fatterday, nonetheless.

Food Journal - Day 8
Beginning of week two! I woke at 7:15. Here's today's consumption:
7:20 am - one serving hemp protein powder in water
1:30 pm - salmon filet. multivitamin. (no fish oil because i ate fish)
7:15 pm - chicken breast on a bed of black beans, topped with salsa and sour cream/lime juice mixture.
9:00 pm - dark chocolate
Before bed - ZMA
Liquids:
Water: 84 oz
Coffee: 16 oz

Skipped the snack between lunch and dinner again. Forgot to take a snack to work. I had the almonds in my desk last week, which i why i was eating them so frequently. Need to find another snack to take for this week. I find that eating the snack, even if it is a few almonds, makes me less hungry at dinner time. When i miss the snack i tend to overeat.

Food Journal - Day 6
I woke at 7:55 but i did not get my first meal anywhere near within the first half hour.(like i'm supposed to) Here's today's consumption:
12:40 pm - jambalaya leftovers
3:20 pm - 1/2 chicken breast with honey mustard
Didn't eat upon rising, nor did i drink any water. Shame on me. Once i did start eating, though, i kept the engine revved by eating pretty consistently.
I ate the 6:30 meal at a local restaurant. Probably should've avoided the feta, but what the hell. It's possible to eat relatively healthy when dining out. Beyond the salad and chili choices, i also could've opted for a steak, chicken, or fish dish and still been able to eat without feeling too guilty.
The candy cane was 50 calories, fuck it.

I received a couple of comments yesterday regarding yesterday's journal and i wanted to respond.
One person mentioned the length of time between lunch and dinner as i went 5 hours without any food. Most people would recommend having a snack. I simply wasn't hungry and forgot to eat.
One mentioned a lack of fruit. Fruit is actually banned according to the Slow Carb Diet; the Primal Blueprint Diet says fruit is okay but in limited quantities. After all, 100 years ago one couldn't really get fruit year-round like we do today. I'm not too worried about the lack of fruit.
They both mentioned the lack of vegetables in my diet. That's absolutely true. I need to increase my consumption of veggies, no excuses.
