Food Journal - Conclusion and Photos

I once again donned my red shorts and here i am two days after the conclusion of the Food Journal challenge (18 DEC 2012)

Notice any changes?  Over the course of the challenge i lost 9 pounds and weigh 175.  Not too bad for just 21 days.  Two months ago, before the physical fitness challenge, i weighed closer to 190.

Granted, if i revert to doing the same unhealthy things i was doing the weight will come back easily.  That, however, is not the plan.  Minimally, if i stick to the protein shake upon rising, the challenge will have been worthwhile.

It's amazing what some focus and a couple of weeks will do.  In 21 days, will you be closer to reaching your ultimate goals?

Food Journal - Day 21

The final day of the 21 day food journal challenge.  I woke up at 8:05.  Here's what i ate and drank throughout the day:

8:20 am - hemp protein shake

12:00 pm - 3 hard boiled eggs (1 whole, 2 whites-only) - didn't eat the 4th

6:15 pm - rabbit soup with potatoes, celery, and green onion topped with crushed red pepper and parmesan shake cheese

7:05 pm - 4 squares 85% cacao dark chocolate

I drank: 
    Water: 48 oz
    Beer: 24 oz

In hindsight, celebrating by breaking the rules probably isn't the best strategy.  It is what it is, though.  The 21 day challenge is complete!  Conclusion and pics to come.

Food Journal - Day 20

Fatterday!  Woke at 8:00.  Ate/drank:

8:10 am - protein shake

1:15 pm - chocolate covered peanuts (about half the bag or more)

    Water: 48 oz
    Egg nog: 32 oz (1520 calories!)
    Beer: 36 oz
    Soda: 30 oz

It was a tasty Fatterday.  Tomorrow is the final day of the 21 day challenge!

Food Journal - Day 19

I woke at 6:35.  Here's today's fare:

6:45 am - protein shake

1:00 pm - ground beef with ketchup and mustard.  Multi and fish oil.

    Coffee: 16 oz

I eat too much damn ketchup!  Only two days left!  And tomorrow's Fatterday..

Food Journal - Day 18

I woke up this morning at 7:05.  Here's what i consumed:

7:20 am - 1 serving hemp protein in water

7:20 pm - ground beef, potatoes, and onion with hot sauce and ketchup.

    Water: 60 oz (don't forget the water in the protein shakes)
    Coffee: 12 oz

In hindsight i probably should've used less ketchup and added some mustard.  I'm still not eating enough vegetables; not eating enough food in general.  

Food Journal - Day 17

I woke up at 6:55.  Today was the company's holiday party so i tried to be on my best behavior.  I did have one too many glasses of the red, oh well!  Here's what i ate/drank:

7:10 am - protein shake

    Red wine: 15 oz

Food Journal - Day 16

Today i woke up at 7:25.  Here's my consumption for the day:

7:40 am - protein shake

Looks like i forgot how to eat... Still a few more days left to get myself back on track.  I could be (and was) much more unhealthy than i'm currently being.  I do miss my nightly craft brew, though.

Food Journal - Day 15

Beginning of the third and final week of the challenge.  Hopped on the scale this morning and i appeared to weigh just under 180 pounds.  Progress is being made. I woke up at 7:20.  Here's what i ate and drank today:

I know, i know, didn't eat nearly enough food today!  I simply didn't have the appetite and since i'm not going to be a professional bodybuilder anytime soon, i'm not going to force feed.  Still not good about packing snacks or prepping meals ahead of time.

Food Journal - Day 14

I woke at 8:45.  Here's what i ate and drank:

8:55 am - protein shake

I only drank water today, about 75 oz.

Shouldn't have eaten the M&Ms and a well-timed snack would've prevented it.  Won't look back though.  Week 3 of 3 begins tomorrow.

Food Journal - Day 13

Fatterday! I woke up at 8:45.  Here's what i ate and drank throughout the day:

8:50 am - hemp protein shake

1:30 pm - 3/4's of this large Domino's pacific veggie pizza. (minus spinach, plus ham and hot sauce)

7:35 pm - salad, french fries,chopped sirloin with mushrooms and fried onions (ate half the steak)

10:30 pm - two more doughnuts

    Water: 54 oz
    Milk: 20 oz
    Beer: 36 oz

Now i just need to make sure i get back on track tomorrow.

Food Journal - Day 12

I woke at 7:25.  Here's what i ate and drank today:

7:40 am - 1 serving hemp protein powder in water

12:40 pm - leftover steak with hot sauce

7:05 pm - tuna and mayo mixed with potatoes, onion, and garlic with ranch dressing (probably not the best option for being on a diet..especially cuz i accidentally went too hard on the ranch)

8:30 pm - a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter

I didn't take my vitamins or fish oil today.  No reason, just didn't.  Looking forward to the first official Fatterday tomorrow.  (last week i settled for a little Fat Friday evening fun instead)  I intend on eating way more than i should.  Stay tuned..
