Running a Mile - Day 1

Today is the first day of the running challenge and I'm happy to report that i was out of bed and on the treadmill by 6:30 am.  I took it slow but i was able to complete the mile.  I did a 0.1 to warm-up, followed by a mile, then 0.1 to cool down. (which explains the 1.20)

It took longer than it probably should have.  Total time was 18:35 but i'm not sure how much of it was spent during the warm-up and cool-down.

Running a Mile - Introduction

I'm beginning 2014 with a physical challenge.  I will run at least one mile for the next 21 days.

Since moving back in with my parents, i've been subject to a plethora of foods.  It being the holidays, i allowed myself to overindulge.  Nothing was off-limits.

In related news, I plan to go gluten free 6 days a week for the entire year.  (Minus a daily beer)  I will incorporate principles of The Bulletproof Diet, too.


Here's to a happy and prosperous New Year.  Let's make it our best yet!
