NSA Giving - February 2013

I donate $40 with my first paycheck and $35 with the second.  This month i chose to donate the allotted $75 to:

$20 - WNCW - One of the only radio stations i listen to in Asheville. (the other is ESPN)

$20 - UNC-TV - One of the few television stations i watch aside from sports channels.

$35 - Turtle Island Preserve - According to their website they, "live,teach, breathe and believe in nature's governing truths." I'd love to visit someday and meet Eustace Conway.

NSA Giving - January 2013

This month $75 went to three organizations.  I took $40 from the first paycheck and $35 from the second, which might help explain the breakdown.

$20 - Wikipedia  I use the shit out of Wikipedia so i figured they deserved it.

$20 - Wounded Warrior Project  Need i say more?

$35 - Brother Wolf Animal Rescue  This is where we adopted Otto.  He turned one year old this month!

NSA Giving - Intro

This year i've decided to give away $75 each month.  The NSA stands for "no strings attached" but that isn't entirely accurate.  I plan to donate to causes i believe in.  However, i'm not doing it to get free shit or a tax deduction.  

The $75 is an arbitrary amount, but it equates to about 3.5% of my take-home pay each month.  

I won't consider this a challenge but i hope it makes me a little more generous and conscious of money.

Once a month, i plan to write a post and share where the money went.
