Seeing my progress was a great motivator. Here are shots of run-times from the beginning and end of the trial:

As you can see, i was able to drop nearly 2:30 off of the mile.
I won't continue to run a mile each and every day, but two or three cardio sessions a week is a good long term goal. I'd also like to get back to hitting the weights. On to the next challenge!
