The 10 Highest Leverage Activities

I've brainstormed these 10 items as the "highest leverage activities" that will be most beneficial and give me the best chance to achieve my goals.  For those of you familiar with Pareto's principle, or the 80/20 rule, i want to focus on the 20% of activities that will reap 80% of the reward.  I've noted some reasons as to why these activities will be helpful and to which area it pertains on the blog.
  1. Cook - healthier than eating out, avoid impulse food purchases (body, debt)
  2. Study - knowledge is power (mind)
  3. Exercise - increase energy, reduce healthcare costs, ablility to "hold my own" (body)
  4. Garden - avoid GMOs, reduce food costs (body, debt)
  5. Invest - ensure future income (personal finance)
  6. Meditate - align with the universe (soul)
  7. Prepare - insurance, items can be used anyway (mind, personal finance)
  8. Refrain from vices - save money, remain mindful (mind, body, soul, debt)
  9. Serve - i'm here to make the world a better place (karma, soul)
  10. Simplify - less distraction, focus on what's important (soul)
We only have 24 hours a day and each of us has the same 24 hours.  It's what we do with those hours that separates us.  If i focus more energy on the things listed above and less on other frivolous things i will be a happier person.

When making decisions, i will use this list to help me focus and prioritize.  I must remember to put these activities above others that i would otherwise prefer to do instead.

One glaring issue that i notice with the list above is that none of those activities earns money. (although a few will save me money)  I also didn't add my job to the list.  It's simply a necessary evil to me at this point.  I don't enjoy spending 40+ hours a week behind a desk but i like what my salary allows me to afford.

Whether or not this list is really what i need to be doing will reveal itself in time.  The list is only a guide and i didn't etch it in stone.  I will update and edit as needed to get the best results.

What are some areas that would benefit you the most?  Is there something missing on my list?
